UNICODE REPRESENTATION OF CLASSICAL GREEK
July 12th 2010
UNICODE block x1F00-x1FFF = 7936-8191, but beware: not all codes are used.
By the way, modern Greek (i.e. the Greek alphabet with modern diacritics) occupies the range x0384-x03CE = 900-974, but beware: here too not all codes are used.
In contrast with the UNICODE representation of modern Greek, only the vowels and the rho character are represented, and moreover, only in as far as they carry at least one diacritic mark.
No bare α, Α, ε, Ε, η, Η, ι, Ι, ο, Ο, ρ, Ρ, υ, Υ, ω, Ω and no consonants in this UNICODE block.
My thanks go to Rienk A. Mebius, who prepared a web page for UNICODE 0 to 9999 decimal (January 17th 2010)
